Fall Season Falls Sightseeing

October. The prime season for colour-changing maple leaves. Took a trip to Quebec City this past weekend. For Koki, our dog, it's a visit to her homeland. We stayed one night and took our time visiting the major visiting spots: Old Quebec on Saturday, and the Montmorency Falls on Sunday. Chomusuke, the cat, also came along for the ride.

This small road trip was also an opportunity to put a few new items to the test: a gel seat cushion, and, new hiking shoes with gel insoles.

The seat cushion for the car helped a lot. The new footwear was better, now in a size that doesn't squeeze my toes. However, his highness Chomusuke must be carted around, and since there were some stairs involved in the hike around the waterfall, I ended up with a degree of soreness from having to do a bunch of lugging the cart up and down a handful of cliffs.

A surprising fact was that food and gas in Quebec City are more expensive than Montreal.
