✨ Sparkling Summer - Sunday and Monday
The last two days of the 4-day mini-vacation were largely rest and relax days.
A fair chunk of Sunday was spent sleeping-in. Since it was a foggy, rainy, cloudy day, we opted to visit the Yorkdale Mall at a slow pace. The doughnut shop had extremely tasty, luxury doughnuts. We had three flavours: coconut, pina colada, and yuzu. It was remarkable how basic places like all the coffee shops had 30-minute queues of people to buy things from them at this mall. Later on, an extremely loud fire alarm started and would not stop. Along with it came a message kind of like this: "Attention, please. Attention, please. A fire alarm was triggered somewhere in the building. Please be ready to leave the building if asked to do so at a later time." Since it was extremely annoying and because it was also dinner time, we left the mall for dinner at the hotpot place.
Dinner was toned down, compared to last time. Willow didn't go "spicy max" and had a much better time with the food. Wildly enough, the bathroom featured a plush couch inside of it, for some reason.
On Monday, we visited a friend, Pauline before eventually heading back home. When we arrived in Montreal, there was a joker who launched fireworks from their car – not once, but multiple times, each time with multi-firework launchers. I didn't expect to literally see sparkles on this trip, but, I guess the universe found a way to make this series really live up to its namesake!
